Wooden Tray Marianne – Robust, Stylish and Versatile

A Tray That Brings Atmosphere

A tray from the beautiful and perfectly executed Marianne series. Our tray is now also being copied, so be careful. Not only is the look slightly different, the sturdiness is too.

For an extra rugged appearance, and certainly also to make the trays truly built to withstand rough use, we use heavy nails. The result is a robust tray that can take a beating.

But perhaps the best thing about this tray is what you put in it. Everything you place on it looks beautiful and immediately adds atmosphere. Even in a rather sterile space – or perhaps especially there – this tray can make a real difference.

Its generous size makes it extremely versatile. Use it for organising and framing small items on a table, as a base for a flower arrangement with several vases, for a group of candles or, for example, as the basis for a Christmas gift set.

What really makes our tray special is the combination of its convincing old look and the hand-forged handles. A robust and atmospheric product that is not only practical, but genuinely adds character to an interior.

Old Dutch – an authentic, super-matte old look

Old Dutch is our own finishing with an aged, weathered appearance. A finish that works particularly well in a maritime, boho or natural/white setting.

The finish is super matte, allowing the natural character of the wood to remain visible. You can see the wood grain, a soft grey haze and, here and there, traces of white lime. Artificially created marks and small imperfections complete the look.

Old Dutch works beautifully in combination with glass and other shiny materials. The contrast between the super-matte, weathered wood and a smooth or glossy surface creates a striking effect. But the finish also works wonderfully in a ton-sur-ton setting, combined with aged white, sandy tones and a relaxed, natural atmosphere.

Over the years, we have continuously refined and improved this finish. We can therefore confidently say that we have become specialists in creating a convincing, natural old look.
