Wooden Planters Cairo Grey – Atmospheric Statement Pieces for the Windowsill

Two Plants, One Strong Look

These wooden planters are real atmosphere makers for the windowsill. The combination of the distinctive Cairo Grey colour, hand-forged handles and the raised top edge gives the planters instant character.

You don't need much to create an attractive display. A few simple plants are enough – the planter creates the atmosphere.

The carefully finished surface makes the planter itself an important part of the overall presentation. The set consists of 2 planters: one large and one small. Together they make a beautiful combination, but they can of course also be used separately.

Square Wood for a Narrow Windowsill

The shape of these planters is deliberately square. This gives them a different appearance from the more common round plant pots and makes them particularly easy to combine with wood and other natural materials.

Especially on a windowsill, narrow and elongated is often a practical choice. The planters take up relatively little depth while still creating a clear green display.

The dimensions are based on common pot sizes. You can place plants in the planters with their original nursery pots, but it looks better to plant the plants directly into the planter. This also gives the roots more room to develop.

Waterproof for Indoor Use

The inside of the planters is fitted with durable plastic. As long as the plastic is not damaged or pierced, the planters are 100% waterproof.

This makes them particularly suitable as planters for the windowsill, without worrying about water soaking into the wood.

Also Suitable for Outdoor Use

If you want to use the planter outdoors, proper drainage is important. You can deliberately make holes in the plastic and use clay pebbles at the bottom, for example.

This allows excess water to drain away and makes the planter suitable for outdoor use.

2 Sizes in One Set

The set consists of:

• Small: inside dimensions 36 × 10 × 13 cm
• Large: inside dimensions 44 × 16 × 15 cm

The inside height is measured up to the underside of the top edge.

The combination of the two sizes creates a pleasing difference in scale and a more dynamic presentation on the windowsill.

The Details Make the Difference

The hand-forged handles, raised top edge and carefully finished surface give these planters their distinctive character.

This is exactly the kind of product where a few simple plants are enough to create a complete atmosphere. The plants are important – but the planter does a large part of the work.

Colour: Cairo Grey – Characterful and Authentic

Cairo Grey is a characteristic aged grey tone that sits beautifully between grey and brown. The natural structure and grain of the wood remain visible, allowing the genuine character of the wood to show through.

Subtle traces of white lime and light, artificially created signs of wear are applied over the grey base colour. The special paint also contains subtle brown tones, creating a warm grey tone with a slight tendency towards taupe.

The combination of colour, lime and light signs of wear gives the wood a convincing, characterful old-look finish. The result is a calm, understated appearance while retaining the natural character of the wood.

The colour can be difficult to reproduce exactly in photographs. The colour tone corresponds to RAL D2 (Design Series) 095 70 10 – Sand Grey.
